Shopping on Black Friday? Check out these tips before you go.

Black Friday offers lots of bargains as well as deals that aren't much of deal. Here are a few tips to help you find the best bargains.

  • Check out the ads. Thanksgiving newspapers will be loaded with circulars. Sign up for email newsletters/alerts. Check out businesses Facebook pages and Twitter feeds for deals and coupons.
  • Compare prices between stores online and off.
  • For online deals, don't forget to check the total price including shipping and taxes.
  • For bundled items, check out the individual prices and make sure you need all of the items.
